Georges Mokhbat is a talented and extremely experienced Business Transformation and Management Consultant, with over 30 years’ experience gained throughout Europe, the USA and the Middle East across multiple industry sectors. He is an expert in telecom and network architecture, as well as wireless operations. He was the founder of IT-CAL in 1986, a successful telecom consulting firm acquired by the SETEC Engineering Group in 2007 – a recognition of its successes on the French/European markets. Amongst IT-CAL clients were CAC-40 companies, as well as international firms such as BOEING, SWISSCOM, UBS and many others.

As a skilled Business Consultant, Mr. Mokhbat has highly developed client-facing skills, and the ability to conceptualize and think laterally, introducing fresh ideas and innovative solutions, defining and implementing corporate strategies designed to increase efficiency and promote growth. As a proactive people manager, his key attributes include excellent presentation and communication abilities, a professional, yet approachable, management style with a results orientated, ‘can do’ attitude, and he is extremely business focused and commercially aware, while retaining technical skills and consciousness of current and emerging technologies.

Fully capable of delivering cost effective solutions, increasing service levels, customer satisfaction and adding value to business, both financially and operationally, Mr. Mokhbat has previously held senior positions and budgetary accountability, managing the implementation of strategies designed to develop business and reduce cost in both established and ‘new’ business operations.

Mr. Mokhbat is an engineering graduate from Telecom ParisTech, with qualifications including Engineering Degrees in both Computer Science (1973) and Telecommunications (1975), as well as a PhD in Networking (1977). Over the years he has participated in multiple technical and business training, including Project Management, IT Systems and Infrastructure, Connectivity, Telecommunications and Consulting, as well as the Finance for Business Owners Course at Harvard Business School (2000). He is an active member of the North America based Society of Communications Technology Consultants International.

Since 1975, Mr. Mokhbat’s career has embraced many aspects of information technology as both a supplier and user, mainly in France and the Middle East. Mr. Mokhbat’s achievements in the Telecom industry alone include

  • Being appointed as President of OPENCAL (a 51/49 joint venture between ITCAL and IBM France) for the development of the Network Management market
  • Successfully founding and building a market leading Telecommunications Consultancy, having a turnover in excess of €3.5m and employing 20+ consultants in multiple offices, carrying out major assignments, and managing project delivery throughout Europe, US and Middle East
  • Acting as Telecommunications Consultant, providing Project Management and Consultancy services to corporate organizations throughout Europe and the Middle East
  • Providing strategic consulting services to ME based mobile telecom operators (Lebanon, Gulf)
  • Providing strategic consulting and PMO services to Middle East based mobile operators (LEBANON, SAUDI)
